Ryan's Out Of Surgery

I just got a call from Michelle and this is what we know.
~ Ryan was done at 5pm and he is doing well.
~ He lost a lot of blood.  That was expected and common for the area they were working on.
~ The doctor removed A LOT of the bone, about 90% of it with no damage done to the nerve, praise the Lord!!  The doctor thinks this is the most he's ever been able to remove.
~ The doctor was able to get Ryan to bend at the hip 90 degrees!  He was able to get him to lay flat almost 100%.  Hip rotation does not seem to have as much success.  We were not given a percentage, the doctor just said he did not get what he hoped for.
~While in surgery Ryan's hip bone cracked so they had to put in another plate and screw.
~ He should be moved to a recovery room around 6pm and into a regular room later.
~ The radiologist will decide when and how much radiation to do.  It's usually 24-48 hours after the surgery.  It will either be one dose or broken to 2 small doses.  They will do radiation to kill bone growth and keep it from growing back.

We praise God for giving the surgeon the ability to do his job.  We are thankful for the friends and family who have been praying for Ryan, the family and doctors today.  We continue to lift Ryan's healing before the Great Physician and trust His plan.

ECARDS:  From what I am seeing, Hurley may no longer do ECards.  It could just be my laptop.  Here is the link to what I was able to find

When I click on a card, it takes me to a search page.  If you would like to try it for yourself, please do so.  It could also be a glich and it could be fixed by the time some of you try it.
